Steel pipe prices remained stable in Taiwanese market

It is reported that recently, the prices of steel pipe have remained stable in Taiwanese market due to stable prices of steelmaking materials. At present, the transaction prices of hot rolled steel have kept stable at TWD 20,500 to TWD 20,800 per tonne in Taiwanese market. Dealers said that the steel pipe prices have remained stable in Taiwanese market since March 2012 since the prices of hot rolled steel products have been flat, despite of weak demand. For the prospect, it's expected that the steel pipe prices may have chances to rise in April 2012 because Chung Hung Steel, the major upstream raw material supplier for Taiwanese steel pipe makers, may hike its April 2012 list prices slightly.
